How to rip a DVD FREE and the software needed
How to Successfully Rip a DVD
So you're new to ripping DVD's, who cares? There are SEVERAL free downloadable programs on the internet that help you shrink the data, crack to protective seals, and decrypt the codes. I highly suggest these programs:
Nero 7 Essentials: This software can be purchased online, or if you buy a DVD burner the burning software usually comes free.
DVD SHRINK: Go to www.dvdshrink.org and click on the area you are in. Keep in mind that this is FREE so you should NEVER have to pay for it. If you are redirected to a site that is asking you for money, GET OUT! DVD Shrink works on Windows 9x/2000/XP.
**If you have DOWNLOADED movies and are trying to convert them to a different format readable from an Ipod, or just a DVD player, I recommend this product. Click this link if you are interested.

You will notice with some videos that you put in DVD Shrink, that you get error messages. There are several error messages that indicate the DVD is copyright protected. (i.e. "Invalid DVD Navigation Structure") This is where you will need RipIt4Me.
RipIt4Me: I recommend downloading it from
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RipIt4Me.
After you realize that your DVD is copyright protected, open up RipIt4Me and click "1 Click Mode". This is by far the easiest way to do it, you just click start, and it does EVERYTHING for you. RipIt4Me does work in concert with DVD Decrypter, so you will need to download that program as well.
**For Unlimited PSP Movies, Games, Wallpapers, Downloads.
DVD Decrypter: To download,
http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/.
Once you have opened RipIt4Me, it will automatically open DVD Decrypter for you, and remove the DVD protection. Depending on your computer speed, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Right after the copyright has been removed; RipIt4Me will automatically open DVD Shrink for you and begin compressing the file. This can also take up to an hour. After the file has been compressed, DVD Shrink will open Nero (or whatever burning software you are using) and begin to burn the DVD.
Then you're done! The process is actually fairly simple, you just have to have the right software and know where to find it.
This may also help you TONS if you are looking for movies to burn... or simply if you need more help. Good Luck!
